June 8th is National BFF Day! I have been blessed with a few amazing best friend.
Here is a little information behind the national day today!
"Best Friend Day (BFF Day) is a time to enjoy and appreciate your good old buddy, your pal. It's a day to honor and cherish the relationship.
If you're lucky, you have a best friend. If you are real lucky, you have a number of best friends. Best friends are very, very special people. You spend countless hours with your best friend going to events and activities, or just hanging out. You share secrets, hopes, dreams, aspirations, and disappointments with your best friend.
Some folks say you can only have one best friend. This author disagrees. You can have a couple at the same time, or several over time. Friends come and go for a variety of reasons, even BFFs are sometimes not forever. It's the result of many things, including moving, changing schools or jobs, and more. We hope that you are lucky enough to have a number of best friends over the years."

I have been blessed in so many ways. I want to focus on sharing with you my best crochet/crafting friends today.
Back when I was a maker, I met one of my business bff's Rebecca Ann Ivy Gorrell of The House of Ivy. She is a local author of children's books in Sherwood, AR. We met at craft fairs, and then teamed up together. She asked me to design animal toys to match the characters in her books. We started getting together once a week for a crochet/business meeting together. We would eat lunch, and hang out at her home working on our businesses while spending time together. It is something I will never be able to replace.
Now that I live in Washington state, we get on FaceTime together or talk on the phone regularly. Since I started full time designing in January, she has been my number one person I run my ideas with. She is my biggest fan, and is a full of encouragement. I am so glad she is on this journey with me.
Another crochet BFF has been another friend here locally. We met at our kids Catholic school volunteering in the library together. Then Covid happened, we were all stuck at home. So we would chat and encourage each other on Facebook messenger. We continue to do that daily about different projects and different ideas. Valerie Lint is an amazing friend, and I am so glad God brought her into my life when He did. Valerie is the owner of a local salon as well as starting a crochet business as a designer and maker. You can find her at Daybreak Crochet.
Finally, I have made some great friends during Covid and hopefully beyond from the Crochetpreneur Business Academy with other makers and designers through co-working sessions on Facebook Rooms. We check in with each other each hour at the top of the hour. We share what we are working on and our goals. We then check with each other during the day to see how we are meeting our goals. Without these lovely people, I don't know how I would have survived the last couple of years.
